Gee - The Airfield's Looking Good At Present !!

And that's due to the great effort put in by the volunteer mowing and maintenance brigade. And of course it's spring and we've had a few light showers which greens the whole place up wonderfully. So if you haven't flown, driven or hitch-hiked your way to Watts of late, maybe now is the time to come and experience the airfield at its best!!

Gathering of Eagles - Australia

25th August 2012

For as long as anyone can remember there has always been an August flying event at Watts Bridge. And building on that tradition is the Gathering of Eagles - Australia, with no greater aim than to celebrate the Freedom of Flight. Pilots of all aircraft types rallied to the call with in excess of 50 aircraft in attendance.

General Aviation and Recreational Aviation were in abundance with an excellent roll up by the vintage aircraft such as the venerable Tiger Moth and Auster. Also on show for the first time was the long awaited Sopwith Pup replica which is nearing completion and several other recent completions or restorations.

The good news is that the All-In Fly-In and the Gathering of Eagles are already in the planning stages for 2013, so continue to monitor the Watts Bridge Calendar of Events for all the announcements.
